Atlas Genset not working on DC
Author: inCHI

Funny problem that I don't quite understand. I took the 8-pin decoder that I installed out of my Atlas Genset so I could run on DC again, but the engine doesn't respond. Is that because the dummy pin needs to be in place?

Also, I have a Ring Engineering EOT that doesn't seem to get enough power if I want to run slow with the engine. That makes sense, but does anyone have a way around it?

Lastly, all of this DC operation is happening now that I have this old MRC Throttlemaster V working. Thanks for all the help with that!

Jeff ,

U need to add the dummy plug back to use it on DC.  Bruce

As for the Ring Engineering EOT's, mine work fine running slow or fast on DCC. Are u referring to them running on DC or DCC? In DC, the voltage is variable. Slow is lower voltage whereas DCC is constant voltage and the decoder is your decider.

Thanks Bruce
