Model Railroading > Athearn 62' tank walkwayDate: 02/16/17 09:20 Athearn 62' tank walkway Author: Chestnut Question. I have two Athearn blue box 62' tanks I'm modifying. Naturally, the walkways literally fell apart due to old plastic. Is there any other options to for replacing the bottom wrap around walkway? I've looked at Plano and A-Line for etched walkways without any luck except for the Atlas "whale body" tank car. Is there any plastic options with a similar tread pattern? Thank you!

Plano makes Apex pattern, 1.8" x 8.5" sheets, in brass or stainless. Also #134 is a full width coupler platform for 86" boxcars that could work if modified. All you'd need is solder.
