Broadway limited e8 gyro light

I have a Broadway limited e8 w/ paragon sound. What I am trying to find is a way to turn off the gyro light when going in reverse. The book said it is function 7 but function 7 will not let me do anything but make it  a different . Any suggestion would be greatly appreicated. Thanks in advance.

Why not call Broadway Limited and ask them over the phone???
