Model Railroading > Trains Etc. in Tehachapi to closeDate: 03/12/17 01:09 Trains Etc. in Tehachapi to close Author: Harlock Trains Etc. is closing on April 30. They are retiring and could not find a buyer.
This is a family and tourist-oriented store with mostly O and G scale stuff. Great owners and the previous owners the Meekers are also wonderful people. Will be missed. Mostly I was a fan of their used consignment books which often came from local estates. This will leave a big hole downtown - it was perfect having a model train shop across the street from the depot - a great combo for visiting railfans. Most recently I bought a car builder's cyclopedia reprint and a transformer for my Christmas tree layout there.
