I learned a hard lesson and that is do not run DCC Sound locomotives on DC or you will fry the sound board so I learned from my Atlas GP 40-2.

People run DCC locomotives on DC all time and it works fine.......     Bruce

Dont know about all the time as think that is why some decoders are set up so they can automaticly switch between DC and DCC power and it can be locked out.
Was pointed out here one brand could cause problems if not locked out.

I have an Mex power supply applied 7 volts to move it and pop.
