Model Railroading > Here are three possible loads that look easyDate: 03/25/17 13:51 Here are three possible loads that look easy Author: Barstool There is no limit as to what can be loaded onto flats, bulkheads and gon's......Shot # 01 is a load of pipe , taken at West Colton....shot # 02 and 03 are on the BCR..It just shows that almost any type of log or even pipe can be loaded. And the more variety of loads sure makes a freight look interesting.....

BCR did a lot of skinny tree haulage in the far north areas. All those logs are usually a mulitple of 8 ft, typically for plywood. Could easily be just heading to a chipper for OSB though.
An interesting example of a BCR log train: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w19tugri8Yc Date: 03/25/17 17:07 Re: Here are three possible loads that look easy Author: HB90MACH Peco electric in Philadelphia gets telephone poles by rail. about one bulkhead load a month.

Mr. MRL - wants one!! Date: 03/26/17 01:37 Re: Here are three possible loads that look easy Author: brfriedm Mr. Stool,
Could you post pictures of some of the custom loads you have built? Thanks Bruce Barstool Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Guys...you are right, that is a load of poles and > not pipe, just loaded differently.... The brake is still elevated.
