Model Railroading > Model manufacturers paint questionsDate: 04/17/17 18:13 Model manufacturers paint questions Author: 4489 A question and I hope that I make myself clear.
If manufacturer "X" makes a model in a particular paint scheme..... and manufacturer "Y" makes things of the same paint scheme do they each make their own paint batch or are they purchased from a third party, thereby making sure that all of the colours match? I hope that this is not too convoluted. Thanks in advance. Date: 04/17/17 19:27 Re: Model manufacturers paint questions Author: CPR_4000 I dont' think there's a "standard." Each manufacturer uses the paint of their choice.

That's no joke. Athearn hasn't used the same Katy green twice! Although I will say that the paint on the newly released MKT GP7 from Atlas matches very nicely the green and yellow GP40's from several years ago. Edited 1 time(s).
