The Gunderson 5188cf Modern Grain Hopper is commonplace in unit trains like the BNSF “Earthworms” as well as clustered in mixed freights. Often seen alongside the Trinity 5161cf Covered Hopper, the Gunderson 5188cf can be distinguished by the four gusset plates on the carbody side near each corner.
