Here are two others in process. Photo 5. CGW 52 is ready for weathering. Photo 6. CNW 1551 is ready for decals. The yellow is actually much darker; the lighting and camera white balance are not playing nice together. Dennis Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/23/17 17:02 by CNW. Thanks, - Jeff Carlson Date: 04/24/17 15:06 Re: An Alco Six-Pack to Paint: Part 1 Author: CNW bnsfsd70 Wrote:

------------------------------------------------------- > what kind of paint do you use thanks I only use acrylic paints. On the C&NW engines, the yellow is Polly Scale and the green is a mixture of Model Master Green Gloss and Flat Black. On the CGW engine, the red is Model Master Chevy Engine Red and the black is Polly Scale Engine Black. The Model Master paints airbrush very nice; better than Polly Scale in my opinion. Dennis Date: 07/06/22 06:04 Re: An Alco Six-Pack to Paint: Part 1 Author: digitalfreight Just for the record ( I know this is an old post), the CGW #52 was in Proviso IL in June of 1976 wearing red paint, by September of 1976 she was in C&NW colors.
