Rapido's latest employee
Author: rapidotrains

Welcome aboard, Josh Anderchek!

Rapido Trains Inc. is delighted to announce our newest full-time employee, Josh Anderchek. Josh was a TTC driver for nine years, and before that he was a professional cartographer.

Josh brings an encyclopedic knowledge of transit and train operations, extensive graphic design and copy writing skills, and a strong commitment to our hobby and our customers.

He has quickly become an invaluable member of our team and has already learned how to be patient with my silliness, a good asset as his office is next to mine. If you see the Rapido Bus on a weekend excursion around Toronto, chances are it's Josh behind the wheel.

You'll be seeing and hearing more from Josh in the future. Congratulations, Mr. Anderchek!

Be afraid, be very afraid! Just kidding.

Welcome aboard Josh. Jason is a crazy guy but maybe you already know that.

Live long and prosper!

Glad to see you've got a real TTC driver, not a stand-in, for complete authenticity!

Is there a model bus market as well?

The Scenicruiser is an icon out west, that model is doing well in HO scale. Maybe in the larger scales?

There is a 1:1 bus collector just outside of Williams California. Quite a sight with a number of scenicruisers and a lot of other equipment out back.

Wow! Nice model bus. And the figure is so lifelike! now if you can just change the fake looking background, the picture would be great. ;-))

Is that your Flxible? GORGEOUS!

The next one we plan to do is another Fishbowl - the TDH-5303, which is the real bus we own. And we're doing a 1:76 British bus, which we're launching in Birmingham in July.

After that... who knows?

Thanks,,Yessir,,she`s all mine.

A little Chalky right now ,but the shape is the same.
I do wish to get it repainted in the same colors,,just fresher soon.
Thank you for tooling and modeling the GMs,Any bus models we can get are well appreciated.
If you ever do decide to do a Flx,,I would welcome you to take any measurements/pictures needed.

The Williams location is http://www.CoachMaintenance.com, owned and operated by Ted Campbell, in Williams, CA. A lot of restored equipment has been through his facility for one reason or another, since 1986. It's just off the exit for Husted Road, on I-5.

Seems like there are a lot of options for older buses, how about a Flxible Metro or GMC RTS bus? Those cover the 80's and 90's+. No one has tapped that era so we're stuck with the chunky ROad Champs Metro or the oh so rare Pirate Models RTS.
