Couplers for a car sides kit?
Author: jkchubbes

I'm putting together a USP car sides kit with a TSP core kit and was curious what you guys use for couplers? I ordered a Walthers exterior detail #910-200 that comes with standard coupler boxes and a set of Walthers trucks. Looking at Kadee's catalog, is it just trial and error or are there specific ones for passenger equipment? Curvature isn't an issue as it will only run on a club size layout.

Standard Kadee couplers, either regular or scale head are fine. Kadee 118's are a good choice as well. They are "SF" type shelf couplers that with some modifications represent typical tightlock couplers used on passenger cars.
