Large scale
Author: tomstp

Richard Day of dallas, Tx built this beautiful 1.5 scale stock car. While he was doing it he made 3 more of them. A really nice car for live steam.

I liked it when they used to paint the trucks the same color as the car, like UP did.

Of course now it is forbidden so you can spot cracking in the casting/forging.

Outstanding work! Why were the wheels also painted?

Why are you not bragging about yours? Since you won't I will.
This is one TomSTP just scratch built. I am guessing by now it has a T&P logo on it.

The same aforementioned Mr.Day built these two boxcars.

The one on the left Mr. Day also painted and lettered, and sold to a friend of mine..

The one on the right is mine, and I painted and lettered mine myself.

As you can see Mr. Day is quite the modeler. Me? I'm not worthy.

Trucks can be painted. Wheels and couplers cannot be.
