Model Railroading > IM Tier 4 models on DCDate: 10/10/17 17:00 IM Tier 4 models on DC Author: upbuddyboy Anyone have any experience with operating the new IM tier 4s on DC without removing the decoder and replacing it withthe plug? Also, has anyone replaced the decoder with the plug, and if so, how does it operate on DC? Is it worth the effort to remove the decoder for DC or will it operate ok with it? Thx

Just remove the couplers and a little wiggle and off it comes. Just be cautious about not bending the pins on the plug Posted from Android Edited 1 time(s). They play well with Atlas, Athearn, MTH, Walthers and other locomotives. SantaFeRuss Date: 10/11/17 17:08 Re: IM Tier 4 models on DC Author: trainupaboy I just replaced my 2nd DC plug today. It takes all of 5 minutes. Simply remove the couplers gently pull the chassis out from the shell..don't pull too far just basically flip the shell over and switch the plugs and reinstall

Yup all lights work fine. You won't have any regrets, it's a beautiful DC engine as well!
