Walthers GP35 DCC issue
Author: livesteamer

Just got a new Walthers GP35 and I think I have a rather odd problem. When activating the bell or horn on the GP35, my Broadway Limited GG1's bell or horn also operate. The engines do not share the same loco number. Any ideas? BTW, the GG1 does not move when the GP35 is moving.

Is this on a DCC or DC layout?

My guess this is a BLI problem, though. What happens to your GP35 when you blow the horn on the GG1 address?

It might be interesting to know the 2 and 4 numeral addresses for each locomotive.

DCC railroad; GP35 is #2569 and GG1 is #4905

I am going to try and reset both engines back to their factory defaults and then reprogram from the beginning.

Uncovered the issue; I left the GG1 on the end a very long lead that is not isolated from the programing track. Duh!

Good to know there was a forthright solution.
