Model Railroading > N-scale VIA Rail "Canadian" questions...Date: 11/14/17 08:20 N-scale VIA Rail "Canadian" questions... Author: ShastaDaylight To all the N-scale modelers here on TO, particularly those up in Canada,
About a decade ago while on business trips to Canada (primarily doing research on VIA, CP, CN and the St. Lawrence Seaway), I was able to collect a nice-looking N-scale model of the VIA "Canadian" in VIA's original color scheme. Finding F-units to power the train proved impossible, but I did pick-up three E-8's in VIA colors which will have to do. However, I cannot get the couplers to work on any of the equipment other than the E's??!! The cars are Con-Cor as I recall - nothing fancy but better detailed than the Con-Cor cars done for streamliners here in the USA. Does anyone out there have any information about this equipment and its problematic couplers or suggestions so I can at long last run that train? Thanks in advance for any and all help! Best wishes, ShastaDaylight |
