If I wanted to model this Nittany & Bald Eagle CF7:

What would be the best way of going about the script lettering on the long hood? NBER decals are available, but they are intended for the GP8s (the trailing unit in the linked photo) and don't include the script that was unique to the NBER's two CF7s.

Other than custom decals, the only other thing that comes to mind is using a fine-tip white Sharpie or paint marker to hand-write it on blank decal paper, let it dry really thoroughly, and then clear coat the you-now-what out of it.
