Abandoned Tower
Author: Jimmies

This yard tower has long been abandoned, but still standing in this sketchy end of town. It sits at the double diamond where the GTW and shortline JSSX intersect. The former parking pad has become cracked and broken with age, and weeds are growing in the cracks. The lower floor windows and entrance door have been covered over with sheet steel that's turned rusty. The upper windows have all been broken out, and then covered with plywood in a vain attempt to keep the local vandals out. They've obviously visited and gained access to the inside anyway, and now some of the plywood has been torn off.

I'll second that "very nice!" You have great use of color and the muted weathered feel is spot on.

Looks great! I mean, it looks terrible, but that's the point. Growing up in Chicago, and having spent a few years in Ohio, this sort of scene is all too common out there.

Nice work!

Depicts an interlocking tower, not a yard tower

Thanks to all for looking, and for those kind enough to leave their comments.
