Just a preview... bought this off eBay last night. Will post pix when it finally comes in and is running on the layout.

This is a Athearn RTR of an actual locomotive with a "Thomas the Tank Engine" style face painted on the front of the short hood. Was a former DT&I unit.

The real prototype. Methinks the model is a little too light green? The model could almost pass for a C&IM unit.

Haines & Kibblehouse (K&H) operates a stone quarry near Birdsboro, PA (southeast of Reading) This line was a former Reading Co branch off their Wilmington & Northern line between Wilmington DE and Reading PA. Crushed stone trains are interchanged with Norfolk Southern in Birdsboro and shipped to various places for ballast and particularly for highway, road and parking lot construction. One dedicated train operates to Millsboro DE (Sussex Co) where no natural stone is available. At the transloading site H&K has another road switcher to shuttle hopper cars in the yard.
