Sherman Hill Signals
Author: Bob3985

Yesterday John Parsons, of Azatrax, came by to help install some of the new mainline signaling on our Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club layout in the Cheyenne Frontier mall. This is the club's Cheyenne and Green River Railroad layout.
Here are a couple of photos of the first installations completed yesterday. Currently John has the signal circuitry set up as a timer so when the train passes the clear block it turns red. Then after a brief period of time the signal next turns yellow, followed by a flashing yellow and then back to clear. Eventually, I believe when all the signals are in, they will work prototypically as we pass the various signals with the indications to the rear displaying the appropriate colors.
I once saw an N scale layout at the Lincoln Nebraska train show that had signaling but they were switch point indication only and not block indication. So the signals were green if lined straight and a different color if lined across.
If you are ever in the Cheyenne area drop by and take a look on the weekends when we are open. Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and Sundays from Noon to 4pm (although we often are open earlier.
