Can I mix glosscoat with floquil paint to get a glossy finish when I paint with my airbrush?

I don't see why not.I'd just be careful about thinning it too much.
I once airbrushed a lok with Floquil's engine black. It was suppose to be a flat finish but came out glossy,....

I wouldn't do it that way.

Floquil makes their own Gloss stuff. They have a thing called Glaze, I use it all the time. Plus I add a couple drops of their own glosscoat for extra good measure.

Shine-ola! ;-)
I forgot about glaze! That's to add to Floquil paint to give it a egg shell/semigloss finish, correct?

Yes. Actually some of the newer Floquil paints come out semi-glossy straight from the bottle. But I always add some Glaze.

Oh, one more reason not to mix Floquil with Glosscoat:

Floquil is an enamel (not a lacquer)
Glosscoat is a lacquer.

So I've been told...

Jesus,I need new glasses,... 8-)

These 2 are based on different solvents. So glaze like you said and Floquil's crystal coat,....

I haven't bought any floquil recently but the older paint was laquer based,so I'd check the labels on your bottles before deciding what thinner to use.The original laquer based paint could be sprayed with glaze added but looked better sprayed straight then coated with flat before decaling then another coat of flat to seal the decals, the floquil flat was actually a satin and looks more realistic than gloss as well as covering better in a thin coat....dave
