CF7 - Love 'em or leave 'em.
Author: WrongWayMurphy

Seems like folks either like them or don't - doesn't seem to be much middle ground.

I have had this one a long time and recently painted it. It is a Rail Power Products
shell on a Overland drive assembly. Like has happened to me before, soon
after I purchased the undec shell, handrail kit and Overland drive, Athearn
buys RPP and comes out with their own CF7 RTR locomotive.

Regardless, the crowd at the North Fort Worth depot has taken an interest to the
newly painted jewel .... or ugly duckling? You make the call.

Personally never a big fan of CF-7s, but it's YOUR railroad, so go for it!

Athearn bought Rail Power Products a few years back, but one condition of the sale is they could only sell completed models.

So if you think the Athearn CF7 looks like your Rail Power Products one - you're right!
