I believe I have seen messages on the Rock Island board about a meet in Winterset IA in a couple weeks, timed with the fall color peak and town festival in that mecca of covered bridges. (Madison County). You might jerk their chain for more info...

IIRC, the Great American Train Show is this coming weekend in the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Not Iowa, I know, but not far from it!
