The spillway was a challenge.  To get the water over the spillway to look right took some work.  I looked at many images to find the look I wanted.  I used tempera to paint the water look.  I mixed the tempera with very little water.  I brushed it on vertically and left in the ridges the "dry" tempera left.  With the final pour for the water behind the spillway and the rest of the river,  a little EnviroTex stayed on the latex for a wet look.
