Model RR photography?

I have seen some impressive model RR photos on this board. What cameras do you recommend? ROC C&O

Believe it or not, consumer digital cameras are great for getting close to models. With a normal lens about 11 mm, the depth of field is tremendous, even at f9 or f11.

as said, most will do a surprisingly good job. Compare macro features in particular. I use the Nikon Coolpix 950. Here\'s some shots using it:

Somebody elses other than mine, theirs seem to always be more in focus. LOL.

I use a Kodak DC3200 camera and it is cool to have for railfanning or use on the model railroad. Here is a sample from my files, forgive me for leaving the paintballs on the layout, I forgot to get them off the table.

I took this shot on my layout tonight. 2 ex CR Geep\'s renumbered to CSX pull an empty hopper train. Happy Holidays.
