New Peco Code 70 Track?
Author: lajrwc1

Anyone have any information on when Peco's new line of code 70 track and turnouts will be available?  They indicated at the NMRA National Train Show this past summer that the track would definitely be available "this fall", but there's no additional information on their website, and I've not received any response to a couple e-mails to Peco.

Thanks!

Just heard from Peco.....flex track expected to be available in December, and turnouts "early 2019".

I am a HUGE fan of Peco track. I can't wait to see this. I need a lot of Code 70 for my bottom deck and the Shinohara is a) not available and b) not nearly as good as Peco.

Does the North American version have the strange looking points or do they look like real rail?

The samples that Peco was showing during the NMRA show this past summer had all-rail points, with no hinge.  They looked very nice!

I'll be adding some to the 2018 PC...mostly on a few industrial sidings and branch lines....the railroad is currently 100% Peco track - with the mainline Code 83 and the staging Code 100...

The unifrog replaces both the insulfrog and electrofrog. Eventually it will all be one product line with unifrogs.

http://www.wiringfordcc.com/switches_peco.htm scroll to the peco unifrog.

This will make it easier for hobby shops to reduce their inventory.
