Model Railroading > Silent Rapido AnnouncementDate: 11/16/18 15:10 Silent Rapido Announcement Author: GNJack RAPIDO KEEPS FINDING WAYS TO TAKE MY MONEY.
They "silently" announced an Americanized run of the SW1200s in HO Scale at Trainfest. You'll have to see the page and listen as Rapido puts out more details on these guys. Sounds like they should be off the charts just like everything else they release! I for one am excited to hear more and order myself a Great Northern model. Which is where I think they will get the most sales if they ever offer them. Date: 11/16/18 16:41 Re: Silent Rapido Announcement Author: CPR_4000 PHall Wrote:

They've done the F40's and now they're doing the cars. Seems pretty likely, unless there's a reason they can't do more F40's. Date: 11/16/18 18:45 Re: Silent Rapido Announcement Author: RailThunder They have done the VIA versions of the F40PHs and one Amtrak version in the Phase I carbody (not counting the Cabbages). The Ski Train units were phase II and III carbodies if I recall correctly. I would hearlily buy a few of the phase II carbondy ones in Phase II and Phase III paint, not to mention the Ski-Train cars - they're just neat looking.

Walthers Proto will be also releasing their HO SW1200 in February of next year - but only 4 roadnames to start, with GN, New Haven, Illinois Terminal, and CN (non RS versions). It will be interesting to see how the Proto stacks up against the detail of the Rapido.

I don't know about the GN and CN. TJY Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/18/18 09:38 by icancmp193. |
