Model Railroading > Tacoma Union Station Model - PSMRE LayoutDate: 12/13/18 02:52 Tacoma Union Station Model - PSMRE Layout Author: DelMonteX I'm pleased to announce that the long awaited model of the Tacoma Union Station will be unveiled on the eve of Model Train Festival.
If you are in the area, you are welcome to join us for the unveiling of the model and presentation to the builder, Gail Hendrickson. The unveiling ceremony will take place at the Washington State History Museum on Thursday December 20th, 2018 at 7 pm. This is a free admission (after 3pm) day. Gail has been working on the model for 17 years. Yes, 17 long years. It is simply a masterpiece. The craftsmanship and details are just outstanding. This has to be among the best HO Scale models ever built. If you can't get down to the museum, this preview slideshow might give you an idea of it's importance. After the unveiling, I'll post some photos of the completed model. Steve Carter Gig Harbor, WA My Photography Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/13/18 20:47 by DelMonteX. It is truly an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Kudos to the modeler and those who will present it to the world. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 12/13/18 08:11 Re: Tacoma Union Station Model - PSMRE Layout Author: tomstp Is this done with the carbon printing machine?

------------------------------------------------------- > Is this done with the carbon printing machine? ahh, No. The only thing he didn't build, were the window mullions, stair railings and fence. These were done by a local company, NW Etch, from plans provided by Gail. Gail could have done them, but we might have been another 5 years waiting. BTW, for a long time I have come to believe that there is a great market opportunity for improved models of humans in the hobby.
