Model Railroading > Painted ATSF sample of Rapido B36-7

Hi all,

Our amazing Dan Darnell has done it again. He's painted up our Santa Fe B36-7 sample and it looks fabulous, if I don't say so myself.

The order deadline is in a month, and production should begin in March/April.

The "not a rotary beacon" (I was corrected on another forum) actually works, and it will be orange in production. Now that there are five different project managers at Rapido there is always the risk that I will make a mistake when I talk about someone else's project. This model has been designed from the ground up by Gareth. He's the modern freight guy, and he's put a Whole Lotta Love into this model.

Thanks for doing these.  We have needed this model for a while now.  I have four on order (3 CSX, and 1 SS).  They will look great on one of my early 1990's CSX pig trains!!

All that is missing, is the blue anti-glare panel on top of the nose, and the blue on top of the steps and walkways in front of the cab. Will be darn near perfect after that!

Indeed - there are lots of little things that did not get done for this sample. Dan was racing the clock as Josh and Gareth are filming the B36 video today in Milwaukee. Hopefully I will be able to edit the whole thing this week and get it onto the video web site that shall not be named.
