Model Railroading > Bakersfield Model Train Show This Weekend

      The Golden Empire Historical and Modeling Society Model Train Club, of Bakersfield,  will be hosting their 26th annual model train show & sale on March 9th & 10th, 2019, at the Kern County Fairgrounds, 1142 South ‘P’ Street. Hours will be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. The show will include dozens of dealer tables, thousands of square feet of operating model train displays, hourly door prizes and a raffle drawing for a model train sets.
Making a Special Guest Appearance, on Saturday, will be the well-known Disc Jockey, Hollywood Walk of Famer and a model railroader himself, Shotgun Tom Kelly. Shotgun hosted a Nationally Syndicated Television word game show for kids Word's-A-Poppin on KERO TV 23 every Saturday for 5 years and received Two TV Emmy's For Word's-A-Poppin. Currently, Shotgun hosts the 4 PM to 9 PM weekday time slot on 60’s on 6 SiriusXM Satellite Radio. You’ll get to hear Shotgun call out a few of the winners of the door prizes while he is in attendance at the show and will be available for autographs.
