Model Railroading > If you are coming to Cheyenne, but not going to make it to Odgen.

For those making the trek to Cheyenne, but for some reason, you can't get a hotel room in the Salt Lake City area, the solution to your problem is to come down to Greeley, Colorado and see the Golden Spike Ceremony at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum.  It's only 52 miles south, much closer than the 434 miles to Odgen!

In honor of Utah’s Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Golden Spike, we will have our own reenactment in HO scale. Friday May 10 at 1 PM,  the Jupiter and No. 119 will meet up and on then on Saturday the 844 and the Big Boy No. 4014 will meet up at our very own Gearhart Mountain!

We will also be OPEN for extended hours Tuesday 5/7, Wednesday 5/8 and Thursday 5/9, 10 AM to 4 PM.

I was very impressed by many aspects and by the scope: it is huge.
