New Power off the workbench
Author: Santafes95

I have had two SD45-2 B units on the work bench for several months. I finally bought a new Iwata airbrush and got to work. I painted these with True Color paints. First time I used that paint. I think it is a liitle flat but it goes on very smooth and decals sit well. I would like to dull coat them both but I don't know that I can use oil based paint over the True Color. I used Athearn stanchions and I think I will eventually redo those when I collect enough brass stanchions. The great news is they are both sitting on Kato sd40-2 frames and they run great. The middle shot shows them with an SD45 B I have had for a while on my quest to own one of everyery model of power the Santa Fe had in the 1990's! Sort of. The beast is in the solid six axle consist pulling a Phoenix Manifest train to Belen.
