McKean Models
Author: funnelfan

I wonder whatever happened to those old McKean molds. They produced a number of boxcars that had great detail for their time. Makes you wonder why Athearn hasn\'t located and bought them by now ;^). And yes, I\'m aware of the history of Fred Becker and Bill McKean.

Enron is easier to figure out than this. I think some of Accurails cars are based on the old McKean cars. But most of their molds I have heard are not usable any more.

Fred Becker and Bill McKean are still building models, although not the old McKean kits. They make the LBF rolling stock line that comes in so many road numbers.
