Model Railroading > Custom Espee just for funsDate: 11/14/19 08:51 Custom Espee just for funs Author: sp8192 Here are two SP's that I just finished. The Atlas C40-8 started life as an NS loco. The Kato AC4400CW started as a CP loco. Both were stripped, detailed, and painted in Scalecoat 2. I always wanted to see what a speed lettered C40-8 looked like. I also wanted to see what an SP AC4400 would look like in non speed lettering. Well here you go! Good or bad criticizms always welcome. They are just plastic toys...right??!

It's weird but if someone said to me imagine an all-over mid-grey loco with a red nose I wouldn't be inspired at all - but when I see a clean SP loco I think it just works so well, utterly classy. And, 8800 reminds me exactly of that. Just look at all the details on the body.

Well done for all three models. Graham. Date: 11/14/19 13:51 Re: Custom Espee just for funs Author: tehachapifan Cool looking locos! Paint finish and decal work is flawless too.
Date: 11/14/19 19:08 Re: Custom Espee just for funs Author: Hookdragkick The Dash 8 came out great -- It's a total bruiser in gray. An amber beacon above the cab would be the "cherry on top".
