Looking for an NYC caboose
Author: NYCStL776

I just recently bought a Broadway Limited NYC mohawk and neither I nor the club I run the engine at models the NYC. I was wondering if there is a reasonably priced (sub-$40) and fairly accurate HO scale NYC caboose on the market. Kit or RTR is fine, the mohawk just doesn't look right with a C&O caboose on it. Anyway if there is such a model, who makes it and where can I get one? thanks

Once upon a time Walthers offered one in the imported Maerklin line.  It, and a Pennsy N5c, were very well done.

I am aware of these but can't for the life of me find one.

Marklin/Trix also did a correct New York Central wood caboose.

The only mistake is the height of the smoke stack.

Scroll through the entire list and you will find the shorter 19000 series kit as well as the long version just announced in Pacemaker as well as brown colors..

Overland made both the standard and shorter version (among other NYC cabooses) in HO brass. I have both.
