Pellets Storage Silos
Author: Jimmies

The local plastics forming plant had it's pellets storage silos upgraded last month in a new capital expense project.  To make room for this trio of silos, the building itself also had to undergo some modifications.  I also added in scratch-built chain link safety fence.  The hoses on the ground are pieces of wire solder.

The entire building, along with the track spur has been mounted onto a length of MDF, and can be lifted out as one piece and taken to the workbench for any further work or maintenance.

What a beautiful scene! You're attention to detail is amazing and very eye-catching! The rust streaks on the silos, the somewhat dilapidated fence, the crooked gates in the fences and the corrugated steel walls of the scrapyard are all perfectly done. The hoses on the ground and piping behind the silos is a nice touch as well....

Killing it--one project at a time. Looks like you covered all the bases and it looks legit!

I'm sorry...I had a spelling error in the address.  Thanks for telling me it wasn't working.  It's fixed now.  And thank you for your nice comment as well.

What are the structural frameworks over the track supposed to be?

Beginnings of a safety harness structure used by folks walking around on the hoppers perhaps ??

Don't need to be a big massive structure. Just something strong enough to hang a steel cable that the safety harness of the guys on the top of the cars can hook up to.
It just needs to support a half dozen humans.

Thanks for asking, and good suggestions below, but actually the intent was to carry piping up and over the track.  Just haven't quite gotten there yet.

Ah, that makes sense.
