Even more shutdown ...
Author: Jeff_Johnston

It seems the more we look around, the more hobby projects we find while we have extra time with the virus shutdown. Some of these projects are of a catch-up nature, things we perhaps should have done long ago but now have the opportunity to tackle. Our current gig is sorting and filing our scenic ground foam collection by color and shade. Some of these go back to the '90s, so far we've only found one bag that dried up even while in a ziplock bag. A few are from companies no longer in business, another batch was from a manufacturer leaving the business who had a few bags to blow out cheap.

There are way more than we need for our layout, but having a variety of colors and textures available is like an artist having a palette of colors to work with. Mother nature in general dislikes solid colors and all of these bags give us the chance to try variations on assorted plants and shrubs.

Next up, the soil and dirt storage bins, sorting the "commercially purchased" products from the "wild collected" material and so on.

What is this extra shut down time you speak of?

Still working f/t thankfully and what spare time I have is going to deck rehab lately - have ripped up all the floor and all the rails out nail by nail, down to the frame.

All you guys have all this shut down time it seems - per the various titles.  Enjoy it those who can.
