Thanks Date: 07/02/20 08:12 Re: Atlas DCC address Author: brfriedm Yes it should. What decoder does it have? Bruce

It sounds really nice and after I did the CV08=08 reset it has nice speed control. Next step might be to use Po and program on the main or just give it back to him with address 03.
This also came with a Bachmann F7 which so far is just dead in DC and DCC. I see from the Bachmann webpage it can only be programmed with a Bachmann programmer. If it were mine I would remove the factory decoder and replace it with a Digitrax DH126PS. Alan Date: 07/02/20 09:08 Re: Atlas DCC address Author: Arved You should be able to identify the decoder using JMRI Decoder Pro. That is, if you have a computer interface to your DCC system. Even the current Zephyr system now includes a computer interface...

Try using your Illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator with a twist of the ol' tin foil hat on that Bachmann. Dave Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/02/20 10:02 by monaddave. As mentioned, if u use Decoder Pro, you can hit the "identify the decoder" button and it should tell you. And for those Bachmann EMD FB and Alco FB2 units that I purchased DCC-ready, I added DH126 decoders with no problems programming them either with my NCE Power Cab. My JMRI needs about 2 upgrades to get it up to date. Maybe that will be something to do for the stay at home weekend. I did the CV8=8 reset and everything was working in address 3 so I left it there since I have no idea which address the owner wants. The factory number is 800 which is where I would start for home operation. Travel to some free mo events would require a change. He can pick it up tomorrow and change it to meet his needs. The Bachmann F unit needs at least a new decoder like a Digitrax DH126PS. His call on that. Meanwhile, off to hide out at Flathead Lake with my brother and his family and some socially distanced fireworks. Stay well, all. Date: 07/03/20 20:31 Re: Atlas DCC address Author: fbe Thanks for the info Chris. I left my phone number with the model at the hobby shop for his pick up. If he has problems changing the address with his Digitrax I will be able to help him out now.
