Model Railroading > 11 Tooth Replacement Gears for Older Proto E-8

I have cracked gears on 2 older P2K E units.  These are 11 tooth gears (the 12 tooth gears will not work - we tried.  They seem to work on 4 axle Athearn and P2K units but not 6 axle.)  Walthers has entire axle sets available but I would prefer to just get the gears.  NWSL part 2418-6 seems to be what I'm looking for but I have been unable to contact anyone there either by phone or email - have been trying for the past 6 weeks.  Anyone know if they are still in business?  Their web site is still up.  Anyone know of anyone that would carry these 11 tooth gears?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Athaern makes a gear to replace the P2K gear. You may find them on Ebay.
