WWM, what kind of brakes do you have on your steam locomotive?  Do you have brake shoes against wheels,  or do you drag your feet in the ballast, as indicated in your photo?

Engine has steam powered brakes (cylinder activates shoes pressed against drivers).

However my boots serve as aux braking.

Good show, WWM.
We prefer the "no dragging of the feet" braking method at the ILS.
