Model Railroading > Sherman Hill Display Case.Date: 09/18/20 07:05 Sherman Hill Display Case. Author: Bob3985 In my last post on here I was asked about our new display case. We were building an abundance of club cars in our main yard and running out of track space to set up our personal trains. So two of our members built this display case to store the spare club cars on. It is on the wall next to our yard for ease of acccess. This consists of two cases 7.5' X 2' X2.5" mounted on top of each other.
Here are three photos showing its construction. Grooves were cut into the wood to replace using any track. It was an excellent idea that the guys came up with and it looks rather impressive. Thanks to Ted and Eric for their work on this. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 09/18/20 08:33 Re: Sherman Hill Display Case. Author: cabman Looks like a nice way to display your rolling stock. Hope you've anchored the case STRONGLY against the wall to avoid a disaster!

Not to worry it was over engineered and well anchored. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 09/18/20 09:50 Re: Sherman Hill Display Case. Author: Bob3985 SPDRGWfan Wrote:

We are waiting for Yellowstone to blow up. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 09/18/20 12:13 Re: Sherman Hill Display Case. Author: wabash2800 Great job. But if it were me, I'd have added sliding plexiglass or glass doors to keep the dust off.
