This layout was construced and and had been operated by the Golden Gate Model Railroad Club until around 2016 when it was donated to the Museum as their Model Railroad Exhibit. With the expertise of computer programmer and wiring expert , Raphael Moll, train operations have been automated when model railroad volunteers are not present and portions of the layout that had not run for years, have been reactived. SP Walthers Proto SD9 5342 with a Walthers F7, takes a train out of the Napa Yard located beneath and in back of the layout and enters the mainline. 2. Entering the main 3. 5. Expanded train back on the mainline. 6. X5342 terminating at the layout's main Stockton Yard. The Randall Museum is currently closed due to the pandemic but is expected to open again in early 2021. Public admission is free.
