The DVT has competition. A friend gave me a Hartland Interurban and a Hartland Steeple Cab locomotive. The 1 and 3/4 inch gauge trucks and wheels with very deep flanges on the Hartland units are not compatible with the 2 and 1/2 inch gauge and code 148 track of the DVT. I chose not to fabricate new trucks from scratch for the Hartland equipment.  Instead, I added a narrow gauge line to compete with and interchange passengers with the DVT.  Here we see the narrow gauge Bucks County Electric and the PA broad gauge DVT interacting at Furlong. The narrow gauge car has stopped to pick up a passenger as a DVT interurban pulls into the station in the background. In the other photo, the narrow gauge steeple cab is bringing a box car to the  Gerger Pipe Organ Co..  It looks as if Mr. Gerger or one of his employees has himself a fancy pickup truck.
