Started as an Athearn Genesis GP38-2 in MILW paint.   I stripped it, custom painted it with Scalecoat 2, and added custom decals for a customer of mine.  Model Railroading is fun!   Enjoy!

Looks great, sharp scheme! Now the big question, can a steel maker keep clean equipment or is that up to the real life customer?

Really nice! How did you manage the tiny pin stripe under the black?

Wow! That's good job there. I like the paint scheme, sharp!

Much appreciated!   The tiny stripe is a decal, and it took some time to get it straight for sure!

That'd be some serious time with an Optivisor for me.  I noticed the window gaskets on the cab front and wondering how you tackled those.  Did you paint them somehow, or use the Microscale decals?  They look really sharp!  I've tried both techniques, with varying levels of success and frustration!

Really nice work all around. Anything interesting under the hood?

Much appreciated!  Is a stock Athearn genesis motor with stock Genesis gears and wires and board and bulbs interesting?   Ha...didn't think so...
