Model Railroading > More from the Sherman Hill ClubDate: 11/24/20 05:28 More from the Sherman Hill Club Author: Bob3985 Here are a few recent potos from the Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club layout in the Cheyenne Frontier Mall.
First we see the head end of Ed's military train. He now has it up to 32 cars. Second we see Rick's City train at the station with the Santa Fe power on the storage tracks. Third is the layout with Jerry's larger scale display oin the wall. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 11/24/20 05:33 Re: More from the Sherman Hill Club Author: Bob3985 Our signal bridges are working and thanks to John from Azatrax for his assistance with the system installation.
This is a single track layout with return loops on the ends and autoreversers in use. First photo shows the bridge with the red signal behind Bill's Great Northern train and caboose and the other signal in advance of his movement shows green. Second photo shows that Bill's train has advanced by signals and the signal against him has turned to yellow. And we are holding a raffle for a Wather's train set for Christmas to kids 16 and under. It is great to see that another club in the country is still active. Your layout, signals, and all looks terrific. We are only able to allow a few members in at a time but that allows us to keep in touch and have fun with trains in spite of Covid-19. We are hopeful that we can have a "reservations only" event for the public in December but if the virus controls get any tighter, we'll have to cancel. We managed to have 3 operating sessions in the past 3 months with 10 to 12 members but we're not sure about the future. We have had very big crowds during the holidays in the past and we and the public really enjoyed our railroad. We hope our patience with the Covid rules pays off by next year. Best of luck on that to you guys. Joe Watts Blissfield Model Railroad Club Blissfield, Michigan www.bmrr.org Date: 11/25/20 15:44 Re: More from the Sherman Hill Club Author: Bob3985 Hi Joe,
We are fortunate to have the situation that we do with the mall.In fact they asked us to be open Blck Friday so we are planning on that as well. We have a few more signals to install and then we will be done with this layout. I worked with John from Azatrax to get the proper General Code signal indications installed. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY |
