Model Railroading > Nut-Bolt-Wash Castings, Grab Irons and Studs as One UnitDate: 12/10/20 18:43 Nut-Bolt-Wash Castings, Grab Irons and Studs as One Unit Author: wabash2800 Does anyone make a product out of plastic that that includes the NBWs and the grab iron, plus two studs to fit in a pair of predrilled holes as one unit? It would seem if you had a flexible jig (for a rounded locomotive cab nose, for example) to mark the holes first, it would make an easier way to predril and install grabs with NBWs. I would think something made out of a plastic would be more detailed and thinner profile than one cast in brass. But, of course, molding something out of plastic would have some serious up front die costs, unless you include a number of other parts on the same sprue.
