Getting ready for the O Scale National Convention
Author: rnb3

The O Scale National Convention is scheduled for 17-20 June in Denver, Colorado. While the COVID reaction might still get a say, we are moving ahead with my friend's layout in case our luck holds out.

David Stewart's 2 rail O scale layout will be operating and on tour for the convention. I've been working on about 20 linear feet of the layout with my interpretation of the fictional Mount Union, West Virginia. I've scratch built 12 structures so far, with about 5 to go. The last few weeks have seen the beginning of scenery.

Here is a current overview shot. Still lots of details waiting to be added as well as a lot of grass, weeds, and shrubs.

Thanks! The passenger car is part of the Grand Floridian. It's a freelance partnership train that runs from Cincinnati to Miami via several freelance railroads. Inspired by the real California Zephyr and Atlas O Scale's excellent Budd cars.
