Model Railroading > Lake Junction Models

Does anyone know if Lake Junction Models is still in business. Their website is still up but hasn't been updated for a long time.

I'm looking for their Seaboard Air Line station model.

I had never heard of the company.  Checked their interesting web site.  I gather that the owner was of retirement age quite a few years ago.  Can't remember now if I saw a telephone number on his home page but I did see a snail mail address.  One could always drop a line and see if the post office delivers or returns.

Thanks. I know, or knew, the owner, he was also instrumental in American Model Builders. I think Lake Junction Models was sort of a side hustle for him. As there is no phone number, which you confirmed, I'm going to go with they are no longer in business. That stinks because I really need the Seaboard Air Line station that they offered.

Send him a post card and see what happens. It'll only cost you the price of a postage stamp.

I thought the Lake Juntion Models cabooses had that AMB vibe.

I can only say I have heard rumors John Heintzman of AMB Models has passed away

John Hitzeman did pass away.  He was a great guy and a friend.
I sent this series of posts to Bill at Lake Jct. models and I think he responded.  He had a fire a while back and it caused a lot of things to fall behind.
Bill is a good guy too.

I got a reply from Bill Hoss and Lake Junction Models is still in business.

I have chatted with Bill and I've placed my order for the Seaboard Air Line depot. Bill advised me that he is working on a new website. When the new site is up and running it will feature price updates across the board. So, if you are interested in any of his products go ahead and place your order soon to avoid the price increase. Also, he doesn't keep product in stock so each order is run when the order is placed.
