A walthers n scale question
Author: Highhood

Has or does anyone use these cars?
If you changed out the trucks with microtrains trucks which ones did you use?

Also the turning radius on these seam to be a minimal 18 inches.
Does any manufacturer produce these units with a tighter radius?

T I a for your responses.

If memory serves, those units have an odd shaped bolster pin (at least the original release). Kind of like an allen wrench shape. I think MT made a pin specific to these units, but I can't recall for sure right now. As far as the min radius they can handle, can't really say as my min. radii are 20".

I can’t remember what trucks I used on the end cars but it was nothing special. As for the middle wheel sets I just replaced the axles with some Atlas axles from discarded trucks. They rolled very smooth after that. Scotty I can be more helpful. It was well over 20 years ago.
