Hi all,

my Atlas GE U 28CG arrived today.

I took a first picture with its companions in front of the 3 stall engine house.

Enjoy your weekend

Franz

The 352 is the only U28CG that I was unable to find, happy to have the 356 and the 357.  Your image is outstanding!

Why did SF leave the yellow pin stripping off these units?

Atlas raised the bar on these with the DCC light functionality with both the white and red gyrolites as seperate functions.  I've been enjoying mine.

There is one big error on these.   The tops of the catwalks down the long hood were SILVER, not red as on the model.   Only along the red nose were they red.

I direct you to page 107 of the Santa Fe Railway Diesel Locomotive Painting & Lettering Guide for Model Railroaders By Stephen Priest.
The page size picture clearly shows them to be red from one end to the other.

All of the photos I can find of the U28CG show the walkway to be red; Atlas got it right.
