AM's newest boxcar
Author: ghemr

Today's shopping spree at Lombard Hobbies consisted of the purchase of two Aurora Miniatures' Gunderson/Greenbrier 6276 50' boxcars.  Perhaps a quick review is in order: out of the box I didn't notice any defects, broken parts, etc. Both cars weigh in at 4.36 ounces and all couplers (which are plastic) perfectly matched the Kadee height gauge. The all-metal wheels were properly gauged as well. The blue roller bearings on the ends of the axles rotate; however I believe this also adds some resistance to the car's ability to roll more freely. The roof design is prototype as well with those unusual dimples. Overall they'll be a nice addition to my modern-era collection!

Are these the same as the Exact rail cars, or different?

I'm thinking of getting a few. Not that I need more boxcars, but you can never have enough. LOL.

ExactRail's are models of the Trinity prototype, these are Gunderson. Small differences between the two.
